Fun Filled February 🌸
February was another busy and exciting month in our classroom!
We finished our Hurling and Camogie sessions with Paddy. We really enjoyed his visits and will miss all the fun he brought to our Fridays.
We had lots more Show and Tell this month. Children brought in items from home, some told us about places they had been, and some shared their favourite things on the big screen.
We also had a special visitor from Young Achievers Ireland who came to teach us all about STEM. He will be visiting us six times between now and the summer holidays. On his first visit we learned how to make origami, and it was so much fun. Look out for our origami foxes!
During Science Week in school, we enjoyed a science demonstration from visiting TY students, who were also past pupils of our school. We loved it!!!.
Two of our class visited Taiwan to celebrate the Lunar New Year, and when they returned they brought in special gift bags and traditional Taiwanese red envelopes to share with the class. It was so interesting to learn about their celebrations.
We went on a spring nature walk around the school. After our walk, we used print to create beautiful flowers inspired by the signs of spring we spotted outside
